Veneers become part of your teeth. The bond between the veneer and your teeth are so strong it is considered a tooth structure and they last for 15-20 years minimum.
Veneers do not hurt. It is a pretty painless procedure.
Veneers are chemically bonded to the teeth and once they are bonded it’s very difficult to separate the veneer from the tooth. They don’t hurt the tooth. In fact, the reason why a patient gets a veneer is that they either have weak enamel or they lost a lot of the enamel. A veneer does the opposite and protects the tooth and makes the life of the tooth longer. A Veneer tooth is 2.5x stronger than a regular tooth.
The average cost of veneers can range from $2,000-$4,000 per tooth.
A good candidate for veneers is someone who has a lot of wear in the teeth. They lost their enamel due to some acid problems, brushing too hard, or having too much soda. There are different reasons for how people damage their teeth. These patients would be a great candidate to get veneers so it can protect their teeth for a long time.
